Who this agreement is for
This agreement concerns visitors using the site's public guides. There are no reader accounts, member areas, public comments, or community uploads, so it does not impose account-registration or subscription obligations.
It complements the Terms of Use, which address the content and service, and the Privacy Policy, which addresses information handling. Nothing here removes rights you have under applicable law.
Use guides with judgment
Choose methods appropriate to your equipment, location, ingredients, and experience. Read the relevant safety guidance before acting, not only a headline, summary, or image. Confirm local fire rules and the instructions supplied with your equipment.
When sharing a technique with someone else, include important qualifications rather than presenting a general guide as a guaranteed result. Children should not treat a website as permission to handle fire or cooking equipment without appropriate adult supervision.
Keep access safe for other readers
Do not probe for unauthorized access, circumvent access controls, introduce malicious code, or deliberately disrupt the site. Do not use bots or repeated requests in a way that overloads the service or prevents others from reading.
Do not use our contact channel to send threats, harassment, spam, or material you are not entitled to share. Responsible reporting of a technical problem is welcome; describe what you observed without exploiting the issue or accessing other people's data.
Send useful corrections and feedback
Email [email protected] with the page URL, the relevant passage, and what you believe needs changing. For factual corrections, include a reliable reference when possible. For a technical issue, the browser, device type, and steps that reproduce it are helpful.
Sending feedback does not create a public comment or authorize us to publish your personal details. We may use the information to investigate and improve the guide, but a message is not a guarantee of a specific change or response deadline. Do not send confidential documents or sensitive information that is unnecessary to the issue.
Report a rights concern
If you believe material infringes your rights, identify the page and specific material, explain your relationship to the work, and provide contact details and supporting information sufficient for review.
Do not submit a knowingly misleading claim. We will review the information and may request clarification before deciding how to address the material. This contact process does not limit legal remedies available to either party.
Leaving the site
External websites apply their own terms and privacy practices. Check the destination before providing information, buying a product, or following equipment instructions. Fire & Smoke Guide does not process purchases on those sites or resolve their account issues.
Changes and related policies
Guides and site features can change. This agreement will be updated if the way readers interact with the site changes materially. The date above identifies the current revision; questions can be sent to [email protected].
